All functions fluent, not restorated, dusty.
A very rare design.

This machine had my grandfather after 1945 from Dresden to the West spent. This was among other cigars or cigarette smokers and since 1950 tax inspector. In old pictures you can see him mostly with a suitcase that contains this typewriter. The machine has had a moving life. In the 80s he died and my parents inherited them, they have now also died 2 years ago.
Machine is not restored and partly dusty, some types jammed, some engine oil and already they go again more easily. This typewriter is an antique.
After the death of the company founder in 1903, the company was founded by the successors under the
Traditionsnamen Seidel & Naumann continued and belonged until 1945 to the most important Dresdner Großbetrieben.
In 1910 the internationally famous "Erika" typewriters were launched for the first time. The operation, which was severely damaged during the air attack in 1945, fell under the expropriation provisions in 1946 and was merged with Clemens Müller AG two years later to form the Mechanik Schreibmaschinenwerke Dresden.
Since 1951, the company has been operating under the name VEB Schreibmaschinenwerk Dresden. They produced the success model Erika under A.-G. vorm. Seidel and Naumann - Dresden.
